Rwizongo Safaris Africa offers exciting opportunities for students pursuing careers in tourism, hospitality, and wildlife conservation. This internship is designed to provide practical experience, develop professional skills, and expose students to the dynamics of the safari and tourism industry in Africa.
To be eligible for an internship at Rwizongo Safaris Africa, students must meet the following requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college/ Institutions.
- Studying tourism, hospitality management, environmental conservation, or related fields.
- Strong interest in African wildlife, culture, and eco-tourism.
- Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus).
- Availability for the full duration of the internship (typically 3–6 months).
Students interested in applying for an internship must follow the steps below
- Submit an Application:Â Complete the Rwizongo Safaris Africa internship application form available on our website.
- Submit Supporting Documents:
- Updated CV/Resume.
- Cover letter expressing why you are interested in the internship and how it aligns with your career goals.
- Academic transcripts or proof of enrollment from your university.
- A letter of recommendation from a professor or previous employer.
- Application Deadline:Â Applications must be submitted two weeks before there expected dates of start. Late applications will not be considered.
Applications will be reviewed by the Rwizongo Safaris Africa internship committee. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview (in-person or virtual) to assess their fit for the program. Successful candidates will be notified within 2 weeks after the interview.
Interns at Rwizongo Safaris Africa will engage in a variety of tasks, including:
- Assisting in planning and organizing safaris, cultural tours, and eco-tourism packages.
- Supporting the marketing team in developing promotional materials and managing social media platforms.
- Working with guides and conservation teams on wildlife tracking and sustainability efforts.
- Providing customer service to clients and learning key aspects of the hospitality industry.
- Conducting research on wildlife, flora, and fauna for tour education purposes
Throughout the internship, students will gain valuable experience in:
- Safari operations and management.
- Tourism marketing and customer relations.
- Wildlife conservation techniques and principles.
- Practical skills in eco-tourism and sustainable tourism practices.
- Networking with professionals in the tourism and hospitality industry.
 Interns are expected to:
- Adhere to Rwizongo Safaris Africa’s code of conduct and values.
- Be punctual, professional, and exhibit a strong work ethic.
- Respect the local culture, wildlife, and environment.
- Maintain confidentiality with respect to company information.
- Submit a final internship report and feedback at the end of the program.
Rwizongo Safaris Africa offers a stipend to cover basic living expenses during the internship. Additionally, interns will benefit from:

Interns must ensure they
- Have valid travel insurance (if applicable).
